# Law of Fuck Yes or No > The _Law of Fuck Yes or No_ states that, when you want to get involved with someone, they must inspire you to say "Fuck Yes" in order for you to proceed with them. Conversely, they also must respond with "Fuck Yes". If any side does not, then it is a "No". Applying this law has several benefits: you no longer have to spend time with people who do not care much about you or about whom you do not care much. The law prompts you to erect strong boundaries and to practice self-respect. Finally, it makes everything much simpler to decide. What is more, The _Law of Fuck Yes or No_ can be applied at different levels: you can say "No" to marrying somebody right off the bat but "Fuck Yes" to having a drink with them. What matters is that the both of you are "Fuck Yes" about _something_, and it must be the same thing. Only two problems can arise from this law: 1. You never feel like saying "Fuck Yes". This means that you protect yourself in too hard a shell: you need to learn to show vulnerability and to open up to others. 2. Nobody feels like saying "Fuck Yes" to you.
