# Stay in midlane unless you have a very good reason to roam The more you stay in midlane, the faster you can claim gold and experience from minions and plates. If your enemy laner roams, it is often a bad idea to chase since they might trap you in a bush or the fight might be over before you arrive. You should rather shove the lane as fast as possible, and even get plates if you can see your opponent on the minimap (see [[The mirror rule]]). Roam only if you have a very high probability of getting a kill, otherwise it is not worth moving. You can also try to trap the enemy laner yourself on their way back to lane if you are confident you can kill them.
