# Stories are the most efficient way to transfer knowledge
On the one hand, [[Stories are empathy machines]]. On the other hand, [[Stories are rings centered around a midpoint]], and the ring is the shape of problem-solving. Both of these characteristics make stories a very efficient way to transfer knowledge. Conversely, when you are told a story, try to seek what sort of message it is trying to convey to you; proactively searching for meaning will help you find it.
